Summer Camps are coming back to JA Central Carolinas starting this June!
Eager for a unique way to enrich your student's learning this summer? Through interactive activities, group projects, business simulations, and guest speakers, they will walk away with a better understanding of their future. Junior Achievement Summer Camp students will explore diverse JA programs on career success, personal finance, and entrepreneurship in the heart of Charlotte's Innovation Corridor, Camp North End. Each week is open to students that will be entering 4th-7th grade (for our traditional camps) during the upcoming school year.
Camp Times: 9am 4pm with extension activities before and after camp for an additional fee.
Camp Price: $325 per student includes t-shirt, daily instruction, all program materials and Friday lunch. Scholarships are available first-come, first-served basis. You can find the summer camp application here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CampScholarshipApplication.
NEW: Adaptive Career Readiness Summer Camp
In partnership with the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Carolinas, JA of Central Carolinas engages students with different abilities in an inclusive summer camp experience. Throughout their week at JA BizTown Adaptive Career Readiness Summer Camp, campers with different skill sets from their peers will work on developing and practicing life skills in hands-on, interactive citizenship role-play that encourages future independent living and career adaptation. This adult-centered approach seeks to foster empowerment for campers to utilize healthy social and interpersonal skills, self-regulation during potentially overwhelming and overstimulating career centered-life activities, advocation for unique needs, and mindfulness for self-care.
