Pepe Porrata is President of Varo Money, Inc. and Chief Operating Officer of Varo Bank. As President and COO, he is responsible for banking, lending, and partnership commercial functions, fraud, operations, business control, and PMO. In this capacity, he identifies and pursues strategic opportunities that help Varo grow while achieving profitability. His leadership is helping to bring Varo’s mission of financial inclusion and banking innovation for the digital era to life.

Pepe is a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico and now lives with his wife Sara and their children in Charlotte, NC. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the United States Naval Academy and an MBA from San Diego State University.
