We are deeply saddened by the loss of Kenneth Claude Sharp, a valued and beloved member of our Junior Achievement of the Central Carolinas family. His warmth, dedication, and impact on our community will be remembered with heartfelt appreciation.

A Career Built on Integrity and Excellence

Ken's professional journey spanned over four decades in public accounting. He began his career at Arthur Andersen and later became a retired partner at Grant Thornton, where he played a pivotal role in developing and implementing plans for the growth of global assurance practices. His expertise and leadership were instrumental in shaping the firm's success.

A Passion for Giving Back

Beyond his professional achievements, Ken was deeply committed to giving back to his community. He served on the Executive Board of Junior Achievement of the Central Carolinas, including as Chair of the Nominating Committee, where he worked tirelessly to support our mission of inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy.

Ken also held a special place in his heart for Wake Forest University, where he was actively involved in various organizations. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Junior Achievement of the Central Carolinas or The Ken and Gail Sharp Scholarship Fund at Wake Forest University.
