Ways To Volunteer
Traditional In-ClassroomWhere: In a school classroom in our community
As a JA Traditional Volunteer, you'll be paired with a teacher in a classroom. This delivery method is an effective and popular way to show students a connection between the skills they are learning in the classroom and how they can get a more fulfilling career and life.Learn more about Traditional In-Classroom
JA Finance Park and JA Biztown In-PersonWhere: In a JA Facility that is a simulated city
You'll be in an actual simulated city! You'll help guide students through their assigned family scenario where they will visit many different businesses. They must purchase items to meet the needs of their family, such as insurance, clothing, transportation, housing, groceries, and childcare—without spending more than they earn.Learn more about JA Finance Park and JA Biztown In-Person
K-12 Learning Experiences
Young kids are the best. If you have a child in elementary school and want to share your experiences while presenting multimedia financial education and enjoy working with younger kids, contact JA of Central Carolinas to learn more about volunteering with JA!
Middle School students are the best. Volunteering with kids can be so much fun but it helps when those students are more engaged and curious about the future and the kind of jobs that exist. If you enjoy working with kids, contact JA of Central Carolinas to learn more about volunteering with JA.
Young adults are the best. If you enjoy working with kids that are ready to tackle the world but are looking for the paths to be opened up to them and are fascinated by innovation and entrepreneurship, contact JA of Central Carolinas to learn about volunteering with JA.
