Trailblazers in Business: Marc Oken and Carol Lovin Named 2025 North Carolina Business Hall of Fame Laureates

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas (JA) is proud to announce the induction of Marc Oken, Chairman & Co-founder at Falfurrias Management Partners, and Carol Lovin, Executive Vice President, Chief of Staff and Chief Integration Officer at Advocate Health, into the 2025 North Carolina Business Hall of Fame, presented this year by the Marsh McLennan Agency. The honorees will be celebrated on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at The Revelry at Camp North End.

“Marc Oken and Carol Lovin represent the best in leadership, innovation, and service,” said Mike Ryan, board chair of Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas. “Their contributions to business and their dedication to giving back are exactly what we want to inspire in the students we serve. We are honored to welcome them as this year’s laureates.”

The North Carolina Business Hall of Fame recognizes individuals whose careers reflect significant business achievements and a deep commitment to community service. These laureates exemplify visionary thinking, innovative practices, and leadership that strengthens the regional economy.

Marc Oken commented, “It’s an honor to join the hall of fame and be recognized among such inspiring leaders. Junior Achievement is doing essential work to prepare young people for the future, and I’m grateful to be part of this event that helps support their mission.”
