Executive Director, Catawba Region
Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas
My role allows me to work with teachers, students, corporations, volunteers, coordinate and carry out events all to help our future workforce to learn firsthand about lifelong skills centered around workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. It’s rewarding to hear a former student say, “I went into my career because of my JA volunteer.” Or I remember “making doughnuts” or going to JA BizTown and 'working' or learning that my personal brand starts early not in college or later." I’ve seen a lot of “ah ha” moments in my 21 years with JA.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling. I’ve visited over 20 states along with Guam, Japan almost always to visit with one of my three children.
